A Big Day For Trewon Marshall

MARIETTA, Ohio – The good news for the Geneva College football team is that senior Trewon Marshall doesn't look like he's missed a beat as he enters his senior season, as Marshall rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday night at Marietta.  Unfortunately for the Golden Tornadoes, they couldn't find a way to slow down the Marietta offense, eventually losing 35-24.  Geneva is now 0-1 on the season, while Marietta moved to 1-0.

Marietta opened the scoring with a touchdown on its second possession of the game.  Geneva answered with a touchdown of its own later on in the first quarter on a 4-yard run from Marshall to even things back up.  After freshman Daniel Nordaas kicked a 29-yard field goal early in the second quarter, Geneva had its first lead of the game, 10-7.
